Background
To say the figure was born until a bad moon wouldn't be true. In fact, there's no knowledge of what kind of light the figure was born under. Fatherless and abandoned by its mother due to its...deformities, it surely would have died if it wasn't for Fate that gave it a helping hand in the form of survival.
Lost legends and myths tell of creatures who were born to mothers who's fathers had died before the birth, leaving the children to look more or less stillborn. Utterly white and hairless in appearance, the eyes have no pupils, nor coloring other than to be completely black.
This is what Shade is.
And so became raised by Fate, the Three Sisters.
Abilities
- A natural defense and resistance to cold and cold damage, which may appear to come in some sort of form of magic. Others believe it's just a natural ability.
- The ability to sneak well within the darkness and blend with the shadows. This is not using the shadows themselves, but the natural fall and absence of light. The ability seems to be on the uncanny side, however, because it seems to work even where they are very little shadow to begin with.
- The ability to sneak within the shadows, lends to many attacks, such as backstabs that leads the opponent vulnerable to more damage than it otherwise would be. Sneak can also lend to a personal transportation or passwall, allowing the figure to suddenly appear in another place (ie, behind a target) or allowing it to pass through a set of lock doors or walls, as long as there's no wards protecting such..
- With the ability to add a little resistance to cold damage, comes the ability to deal cold damage to its target through a series of chants. This can come in the form of a snare, where the target's ankles and feet will feel slowed. A direct damage to the target or a damage over time to the target. As well as a combination of any two.
Weakness
Since it has a natural resistance to cold, it also has a natural weakness to fire. Brute strength will also bring down the figure fast, though it's natural agility and celerity make up for its lack of strength. Human customs as well as emotions seem to be a little outside of its grasp, since the figure was ranged on the fringes of civilization. Therefore, it often leaves itself covered with a cloak and hood to hide its odd features from everyone.
